If not Apple is rumoured to be coming out with a new desktop this year. If you really need a new machine I'd go for the MacPro trashcan. Looking at the prices for some of the options and looking at what's called bang-for-the-buck right now these iMac Pro's just don't cut it.

The fastest one is the 8 core at 3.2 GHz with turbo boost up to 4.2 GHz speed.
